My name is Andrew Boschier. Five years ago I made the best decision of my life – to turn my lifelong passion for photography into a full-time career.
I now spend my entire working life doing something that I love and am very proud of.
Although I specialise in commercial and corporate photography, I also cover wedding photography, family photography, lifestyle and boudoir photography.
In addition, I offer tuition in how to get the best from your own camera, taking students on location and providing hands on advice on technical use and composition.
So, what’s in it for you and why would you book me?
Perhaps you like the images that you see here and are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, experienced photographer who loves being around people.
If you are a company looking to hire a commercial photographer, I appreciate the importance of corporate identity and branding because I am a small business owner myself. I always take time to get to know you and your company, so that I can relate to your values and aspirations. I need to know your thoughts behind the tone and vision for your business. This helps me to produce the images that will show your clients exactly who you are and what you and your business stands for. This is especially true if you are also a creative, as I specialise in photography for interior designers and bespoke manufacturers for the home.
Perhaps you need an updated corporate portrait or are organising an event or exhibition. I have years of experience capturing such occasions. This counts for a lot, as I have developed a sixth sense to know exactly when to press the shutter to capture that special moment.
Maybe you are about to take the plunge and are looking for a wedding photographer whose sole aim is to capture all those never to be repeated moments that make up the special memories from your big day. You are looking for someone who has the experience and knowledge to keep everything on track and ensure that your day runs smoothly without any hassle, allowing you to be absorbed in the occasion and your guests.
Perhaps you are a proud parent looking for family photography to capture those happy memories of your children growing up. This is so much more important today because those memories can easily be lost in the hustle and bustle of our busy lives.
My lifestyle photography differs from others as I specialise in outdoor locations rather than studio shoots, allowing more relaxed and natural photos in place that is special to you.
Maybe you have a new camera and need hands on photography tuition or are looking for a photography course that differs from a classroom based or group event.
If this sums up one of your needs, I would love to help portray your love and passion for your business, have the honour and privilege to be able to share a special occasion in your life or help you make the best of your own photography.
I am based in Woking, Surrey and cover London and South-East England.
I love photography with a passion!
I just love everything about it – the kit, the technology, controlling light, creating mood, looking for strong composition and dynamic shapes in my images.
I would describe myself as a technical photographer. I’m absorbed with knowing my camera inside out and use it instinctively. I understand the limitations of the technology and this helps me to create the perfect image where others would struggle.
My expertise also helps me to tutor others but explain technical aspects in a way that is easily understood.
When I tell people I am a photographer, the first question those in the know always ask is – Canon or Nikon?
For me it doesn’t matter as both systems will do the job. However, I am a Canon man through and through. I just like the cameras, the layout and feel. For me everything is in the right place and helps me to concentrate on the job in hand. I feel that they handle mixed light sources and dynamic range extremely well.
How would I describe my style? Three words:
Bold, Vibrant and Dynamic
What makes me tick?
I have been into photography from an early age and it has shaped many of areas of my life.
I love the landscape. To be free in wild remote open spaces, to climb high above the land, to capture magical light. My idea of heaven is to be standing above the clouds on a mountain, waiting for the first rays of sun to kiss the landscape.
I also love to travel. To live and breathe different cultures, to sample how other people live. I love to capture the colour and vibrancy of their world.
I enjoy the performing arts, especially live music. I love the spectacle, emotion and passion. It is such a challenge to capture all of this with the movement and difficult lighting conditions. I seem to have developed a sixth sense to nail that spontaneous moment.
I love the art in general and can often be seen around galleries and exhibitions in London, soaking up the atmosphere and gaining inspiration that features throughout my work.
But most of all, I like cake!
I use Andrew on all my projects. A great photographer and a lovely guy
Andrew was hired to take photos of my show garden ‘Greener Pastures’ at BBC Gardeners’ World Live in 2015 and provided an excellent service. He was enthusiastic and professional in all respects; punctual, courteous to myself and other suppliers and colleagues there.
We run a small PR agency with international clients who expect professionalism and value for money. We have worked with Andrew now on four different events, where blending into the background is key. We certainly count Andrew as our go-to photographer for any events we run!
